- GmbH
- A private limited company requiring share capital of at least €25,000, at least half of which must be paid in at formation.
- UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
- A variant of the GmbH with a lower starting capital (from €1), which must retain part of its profits until it reaches the GmbH's minimum capital.
